The demonstration model of an electric vehicle is intended to be assembled in educational workshops for high school students from the view of popularising the study of electrical and mechanical engineering as well as learning the technology of electric vehicles.
The model consists of both electrical and mechanical components, the configuration of which can be modified, adjusted, programmed and controlled with a smart phone application.
Students familiarise with physical principles of electric motors, electric circuits for controlling motors with the use of pulse-width modulation (PMW), technology of battery energy storage and the role of vehicle systems.
They also get to know simulation methods for analysing the driving of an electric vehicle metrics for determining the necessary capacities of individual driving components.
Doing so, they acquire practical skills in the field of mechanical, as well as systematical knowledge in electrical engineering and computer science.
